The structure of Foundation Connect International

Foundation Connect International is governed by a Board. This Board is responsible for the whole organization. It controls the executive management and determines the vision, targets and general policies of the organization. It also develops and decides about the organization budgets, annual plans and controls the proper implementation of the narrative and financial policies and planning. The director and the executive team function under the control and direction of this Board. The executive team consists of one paid staff member and a broad range of volunteers who use their professional skills to provide important inputs in the work of Connect International.

Connect International functions largely on the basis of a restricted number of documents and plans:

  1. Statutes - describing the governance structure and rules of the organization.
  2. Human Resource Management (HRM) manual - desribes the tasks, rules and labour conditions of each type of actor involved in Connect International (like Board members, director, staff, Connect International project country representatives and volunteers).
  3. Annual plans - narrative and financial planning for each book year.
