NGO consultancy for local NGO's in developing countries

Connect International provides the following types of low-cost consultancy services for local NGO's in developing countries.

  1. NGO packages - these include full trajectories facilitated and guided by Connect International consultants. The packages often include such elements as a self-assessment, improvement planning, concept development, training courses, project types development, etc.
  2. NGO training courses - focus is on learning by the participants (e.g. staff of local NGO's) with regard to topics relevant for their functioning.
  3. NGO workshops - focus is on working out things, assessing things or solving problems by the participants

Reasons for affordable consultancy

Small NGO's, both local and international, often lack the skills and/or time to further improve themselves, develop new services (e.g. new types of projects) or assess their own performance. Very often also these NGO's do not have the financial resources to hire expensive consultants to assist them with such activities. Therefore Connect International has developed a consultancy service for exactly these NGO's. We work with highly experienced consultants, a mix of our expatriate staff and local staff employed with our direct partner organizations. They therefore do not require high consultancy fees, only coverage of their salaries during the days they provide the consultancy service, travel costs and a small per diem.

Building on quality systems and experience

We embark on the quality systems, the concepts and strategies that we have developed during the last ten years. But most of all our strength comprises the consultants we send: people who master the required skills of tutoring, facilitation, ánd the subjects to be covered, through years of experience with exactly those subjects. They are people who work in implementation and training and facilitation full time. So no theoretical coverage of subjects but people who explain things from years of in-depth experience and who work on these issues every day, often in the field, together with and for the beneficiaries we aim to assist.
