Summary

‘Facilitation towards excellence’ comprises a comprehensive package of support activities facilitating a local NGO to improve the quality of and/or expand its work and become a ‘learning organization’. The activities include:

  1. Pre-assessment and initial advise about the potential of the organization.
  2. Management training course (module I) for the managers of the organization.
  3. Organization self-assessment.
  4. Production of an organization development plan.
  5. Coaching and training. The organization is facilitated during two to three years to implement its organization improvement plan and improve its performance.

Activities include: custom-made on-site and e-mail assistance, regular evaluations, feedback on financial bookkeeping and annual reports, assistance with customizing and introducing required manuals and software, training courses for managers, staff and volunteers (depending on the gaps in required skills and knowledge these may comprise both training courses described in this website and custom-made training courses), assistance with incorporation of the organization improvement cycle (following the concept of the ‘learning organization’).
