Target audience

  • Local people who wish to start a small hand drilling company.
  • Local NGO's who wish to introduce hand drilling in their operational area.

Summary

The training course covers hand drilling techniques such as baptist drilling, hand augering and rotary sludge drilling. Participants obtain basic skills in applying the techniques, simple hydro-geological conditions, finding the most suitable drilling spot, test drilling and cooperation with beneficiaries. These training courses are regularly provided by a combination of expatriate and local trainers at the training center of our partner organization SHIPO in Njombe, Tanzania. Cost

usually the fee is 250 euro per participant for a 10 day training excluding the cost for food and accommodation (which is locally very cheap)
